Metal Detecting Gold And Silver Rings

Rings are almost magical.  I have to admit that I am kind of a ring fanatic.  I love them.  But I really love digging rings up – and I think you will too.  So, let me tell you a few stories of ring finds.

This first ring was a total shocker for me.  I had just gotten my first detector and was just itching to get out.  So, a friend and me headed to an older park.  I really didn’t know exactly what I was doing, but I was eager.  So, I tried to think through where people would have walked and moved.  I headed around back of an old house that was on the premises and got some signals.  There was a lot of trash, but I just kept digging everything.  Near a telephone pole in the back I found this sweet sterling silver ring.  I was totally beside myself.  I didn’t think the diamonds were real, but we went and got them tested anyway.  Nope, they aren’t real, but man – what a rush!

When I went on a trip to Raleigh, NC, I took my detector.  I went to an older park that was having work done on it.  On a hillside I got an interesting, but choppy signal.  I about fell over when I saw this cool silver ring pop out of the plug.

When I was home, I went to a sports field.  I was heading around the outfield of a ballfield and was getting the typical trash.  Man, there were a lot of pulltabs near the infield.  As I was heading toward the third base line, I got a very solid signal.  I dug the plug and out came a silver ring.  I cleaned it off to see the .925 or sterling mark.  To my shock, I found a 14k mark inside.  I couldn’t believe it – a white gold ring.

Trust me – once you start finding rings, you will love it!!!!
