The title says it all. I went back to a park that has been very good to me. Small but old. I finally got an opportunity to start on an outfield that I’ve been dying to rehit.
Again, I have been hammering the mid tones at every available opportunity – which is few and far between. I headed to a small park that has turned up an indian head penny, a buffalo nickel, and some wheaties.
Okay, so you know I’ve been really hammering the mid tones. Yes, it takes a little time and you have to pay. You pay by taking the time to learn those mid tones. They are stinkin tricky.
So, I headed back to an old ballfield area where I know gold rings have turned up. I know so because I talk to local detectorists. I have found some neat stuff around this area as it used to have an old farmhouse nearby.
So, I am continuing my mid range/tone experimentation. Honestly, when you are hunting for silver – it’s pretty easy to know what you have. Those high tones are just super sweet. Yes, they get a little more challenging when they are deep. But mid tones are much tougher. That space is crowded.
